Mick Gatto

Mick Gatto is one of Australia's most recognizable and polarising public figures, rising from a career in professional boxing to become a central figure in Melbourne's underworld during the tumultuous gangland wars. Despite his association with the Carlton Crew and a high-profile trial for the killing of hitman Benji Veniamin, for which he was acquitted on grounds of self-defense, Gatto transitioned into a role as a successful industrial mediator and media personality. This biography explores his life from his immigrant roots to his status as a legendary arbitrator in the Australian construction industry.
